WELCOME TO SHILOH FARM

Zero pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides, are used on our farm, relying on natural techniques and good timing to make plants that want to grow.

You can find what’s in season from Shiloh Farm year round, 7 days a week at West Side Grocery, as well as Shiloh Farm grass-fed lamb.  Every produce item is labeled “Shiloh Farm”, “Local”, or “Organic”, so its easy to tell where your produce is coming from!

Shiloh Farm started in 2016 when Meghan and Luke moved to Overton County.  With years of experience working on Organic vegetable farms, Luke was ready to try his own approach.

MORE ABOUT OUR STORY

With a focus on sustainability and holistic land management, on-farm compost is made using animal manures and hay.  Wood ash and natural rock powders provide micronutrients, and long term soil fertility is bolstered using green manures and cover crops.  Zero pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides, are used on our farm, relying on natural techniques and good timing to make plants that want to grow.  Good culture makes better food.

Luke grows a variety of vegetables and takes care of our cattle, sheep and goats, the “chew crew” that helps us maintain the grasslands and silvopasture.  As an ongoing project, we are thinning overgrown forest to create “silvopasture”, selecting for a healthy and diverse stand of trees with vibrant grass underneath.

Over the years Shiloh Farm has appeared at farmer’s markets and various stores, and has provided a weekly CSA box on and off for several seasons.  With the opening of West Side Grocery, Luke finally found his produce section to grow for and is now focusing his efforts on supplying as much of the produce as possible from Shiloh Farm.
